Changelog
Released versions of the Go client and server modules.
The modules are github.com/useceleris/sdk-go-client and github.com/useceleris/sdk-go-server. Celeris releases them together. Each server release requires at least the client version that Celeris tested it against. Both modules follow semantic versioning.
v1.0.0 — 2026-10-07
This is the first stable release of both modules. sdk-go-server v1.0.0 requires sdk-go-client v1.0.0 and has no API changes. The client changes since v0.1.0 are:
- New:
channel.Events().OnMessagereceives the messages of all segments of the connection, after the segment listeners. - New options:
ReconnectTimeout,PublishQueueSize(64 by default),DeduplicationWindowSize(1024 by default), andMaximumReconnectAttempts(10 by default, from 1 to 100). - Changed: each timeout option accepts 0 for the default, or from 1 ms to 15 minutes.
NewClientreturnsErrConfigurationfor other values. - Changed: while the channel is
reconnecting, a publish waits in the publish queue. A publish that the socket did not start to write before a connection loss also stays in the queue. After the reconnect, the SDK restores the subscriptions, then sends the queued publishes in the sequence of the calls. Version v0.1.0 returnedErrNotConnectedfor these publishes. - Changed: a presence subscription does not keep a segment joined. When you cancel the last message subscription, the SDK unsubscribes from the segment, even if you hold a presence subscription.
- New: a WebSocket ping every 20 seconds keeps the connection open while a listener runs. A ping without an answer within 15 seconds starts recovery. Time in listeners does not count.
- Changed: the
ErrBackpressuremessage gives the publish queue size.
v0.1.0 — 2026-10-04
This is the initial release of both modules, for Go 1.27 and later. It contains:
- Channels and segments over one WebSocket, publish/subscribe, presence, replay, automatic recovery with jittered retries, fresh credentials per attempt, and rate-limit resend.
- Payload helpers for text and JSON, plus a codec adapter for your own format.
- A server-side credential signer with least-privilege claims.
